From June 11 to September 20, 2026, Pietrasanta —the city of marble and an epicenter of international sculpture— hosts “Le dimensioni dell’equilibrio”, a major exhibition by Colombian sculptor Gustavo Vélez celebrating thirty years of his artistic career in Italy. Curated by Francesca Sborgi and featuring a contribution by Eike Schmidt, the exhibition unfolds across emblematic sites throughout the city, including Piazza del Duomo, the Sant’Agostino Complex, Piazza Carducci, Piazza Statuto, Piazza XXIV Maggio, and the iconic Pontile of Marina di Pietrasanta, with monumental works in marble, bronze, and steel. A journey that engages historic architecture, the Mediterranean landscape, and the Apuan Alps, where geometry becomes living matter and the balance between weight and lightness opens into an experience of freedom and visual poetry.
