Location: Hôtel de l’Industrie, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris – France
[English]
Évolution brings together recent paintings by David Manzur (Neira, Colombia, 1929) alongside a selection of works from the past decade. The artist’s first solo exhibition in France opens in October 2026 at the Hôtel de l’Industrie in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris. At 96, Manzur returns to the motifs that have shaped his practice: horses, ethereal women, musicians and their instruments, Saint George. He reworks them through collage, acrylic and drawing. His painting converses with Zurbarán, Velázquez and Sánchez Cotán without settling into nostalgia.
