Art Gallery Duque Arango

Duque Arango Gallery is a Colombian art gallery founded in 1980 in the city of Medellín with more than four decades of uninterrupted program, dedicated to the conversations that Latin American art has held with itself over time: between generations, between languages, between tradition and rupture.

Its program is not based on a style or a geography: it is based on a question. What does it mean to make art from Latin America, with what historical materials and with what contemporary urgencies.

In these four decades, the gallery has established itself as a meeting space between artists, collectors and institutions, sustained by curatorial rigor, excellence in the selection of works and a long-term vision.

This gallery has accompanied fundamental processes in the careers of established and mid-career artists, with individual and group exhibitions. Duque Arango focuses on the great masters of Latin American art, without leaving aside the dynamics of contemporary art.

Today, Duque Arango Art Gallery is a platform for thought, circulation and positioning of Latin American art, with projects in Colombia and abroad, presence in international fairs and sustained relationships with private collectors and institutions.
